Metal albums, beginning of 2010
If you’re paying attention to any of {my facebook, my twitter, my whateverthehellI’mstillupdating}, you’ll have noticed I said I was going to write a post on metal albums I’ve enjoyed this year. And I will. Not that I really think anyone is paying attention. (If you are, stop that!)
Here we go:
- Strapping Young Lad: City
I finally got around to listening to this album. It’s from 1997, it’s a good album (really good album), and I just got around to listening to it. Well, shit. - Blood Stain Child: Idolator and Mozaiq
Ok, two albums, but that’s because I tend to listen to them together. Blood Stain Child, according to wikipedia, is aJapanese melodic death metal band with trance elements from the city of Osaka.
The two albums I’ve mentioned are awesome, by the way. Go listen to them. You’ll either enjoy them or hate me forever. Not really. But you might enjoy them, if you like metal.
- Lyzanxia : Unsu
According to wikipedia, Unsuis the most advanced kata found in Shotokan, Shito-Ryu and IsshinShorinji Ryu karate styles.
Why a french thrash metal band w/ death metal influences names an album after this is beyond me. Maybe they do karate. The video for the song Unsu has a woman doing karate. This album is pretty awesome, I thought. Strength Core is my favorite song off this album. Yeah. Guess I got lucky when this came up on Pandora.
There you go. I’ve started listening to a bunch of other albums, too, but I don’t have reactions to them yet. Tomorrow, I’ve got work to do, but I’m planning on ranting aimlessly each day throughout this week. If you’re lucky, maybe I’ll try to talk about some of the manga I’ve read recently. Maybe not.
